How To Play The Unique Game Of Baseball Darts, And The Equipment You Will Need

Baseball darts is an American game which is uniquely American and not found in the United Kingdom, where darts first began and is still eavily played. Baseball darts is extremely popular well known in North America where the game of baseball is also a widely popular national pastime. There is more than one version of baseball darts, and there are forms of it which require a special board. It is vital to make sure that every player knows which rules you are going to be playing under before the game starts.

The game is played to such detail that it includes which player should be the one pulling the darts out of the board when they are thrown. In the standard British game of darts, and in the modern electronic versions of the game, a player will pull their own darts out of the board. In some forms of American darts, this is not the case. In the version of baseball darts which is played on a specialized baseball dart board, the player will usually leave their darts in the board for the next player to pull out. I bet if you are used to playing a lot of traditional darts, you will have a hard time remembering this!

American darts is a game played at team levels and also at individual levels, as such like baseball the whole team completes the throws before the other team comes on. On an American dart board, the segments are still in the shape of pie pieces as they are on any dart board, but the rings are in a totally different place than on the traditional board. The rings on an American dart board are at the edge of the board, and are colored red, white and blue. The sections are worth different scoring values, in accordance with their size.

The large segment or section which covers the center of the board to the inside of the red ring has the largest surface coverage, and thus the easiest to hit. It scores one point. The red area beyond this section is worth two points, and the area outside of this, which has no color, is worth three points. If a dart lands in the blue outer ring, which is not even divided into sections by the wire, it scores nothing as it is deemed to be outside the playing area.

You may also find that there is also a version of baseball darts being played out on a standard English dart board. In this version, the segment used is the one which corresponds to the number of the inning, i.e. one in the first inning. One point is scored for a dart which lands in the main part of the segment, with two for the outer ring and three for the inner ring. Runs are scored in this way throughout the game, and the player with the highest score at the end of the ninth inning is the winner. This scoring is very similar to baseball itself, and illustrates perfectly why the game is known as baseball darts.
